The darkest red Astrantia we've ever seen! This gorgeous variety was developed by landscape designer, Piet Oudolf, and is a favorite of many gardeners, landscapers and pollinators, too. Near-black stems carry small 1½", dark blackish-red blooms that are complemented by mid green foliage that shows hints of maroon when young. Will rebloom in early fall if planted in rich soil, moist but well-drained soil.
