German Iris Light Speed Travel

Bred by renowned hybridizer Christian Bédard exclusively for K. van Bourgondien, Light Speed Travel will undoubtedly add a moody feel to the late summer garden. Deep burgundy, elegantly ruffled petals have a lovely pattern of creamy-white splashes on the falls that deepen to golden yellow toward the center. The soft, ruffled petals contrast nicely against the swordlike, upright, glaucous green leaves. Foliage does die back some in colder climates in winter. Like most German irises, Light Speed Travel is easy to grow and quite tolerant of a wide range of soils.
